 What a beautiful expression of love for our Savior when a child is brought to Sunday School to hear the message of salvation! It is for this reason that a Sunday School program has been put in place at Cross of Christ. We believe that the spiritual training of each child is the responsibility of their parents:
Deut. 6:6-7 - These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
Because the parents of our church have asked for assistance from the fellow believers at Cross of Christ, we have gladly established a Sunday School program.
Here are Cross of Christ we learn God’s Word as a family. Most Sunday School classes and Sunday morning Bible studies study the same Bible history lesson each week (2 & 3 olds and Teens have their own curriculum.)
This year we have been blessed with 85 students, 12 teachers and 7 aides. Our classes are divided into these age groups: 2 & 3 year olds (Little Lambs), Prek & Kindergarten, 1st & 2nd grade, 3rd & 4th grade, 5th & 6th grade, 7th & 8th grade.
On a typical Sunday the children are in their classrooms for 40 minutes for their lesson and meet as a group to celebrate birthdays and sing songs for 10 minutes.
