Carrie Steinbrenner; Preschool Teacher
In 1986, Carrie graduated from Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science in Education.  For 3 years she taught a 1st/2nd grade combination class in Jenera, Ohio.  After getting married, Carrie continued her time in the classroom in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she taught a 4 year-old preschool class in the mornings and a 3rd/4th grade combination class in the afternoons.  Carrie and husband John moved to Idaho in 1994.  For several years she left the formal classrooms to make her home a place of learning for her 3 young children (all 3 currently at Centennial High).  Carrie returned to the classrooms of NW Ada County in 1998 as a substitute teacher in our Meridian School District.  Because of her extensive experience in early childhood education, Carrie was asked to open and serve as our head teacher here at Cross of Christ Preschool.  We have been blessed to have her as our teacher from 2005 to the present.
 
Linda Bafus; Preschool Aide
A native Texan, Linda came to Idaho with her family 40 years ago.  Before marrying her husband Glen in 1973, she worked at a Title Company and Intermountain Gas Company.  Glen and Linda have 2 grown children.  Linda’s experience in working with “special needs” is notable – their daughter Katy has been handicapped since birth.  Their son Josh and his wife Trish live in Portland, OR with their newborn son, Easton.  One of Glen and Linda’s greatest joys is to visit their grandson when time allows.  Linda brings that same “grandmother’s love and passion” to our Cross of Christ Preschool every week.  We are blessed to have Linda on staff.

Kathleen Sigler; Preschool Aide
Kathleen moved around the world with her military husband Jim.  During those years, she raised two daughters and volunteered extensively with community youth programs (Girl Scouts).  Kathleen was also a swimming instructor through the military recreation program.  Once settled in Idaho in 1988 – Kathleen and Jim have been largely influential in raising their 2 grandchildren.  Kathleen is also currently teaching the 1st/ 2nd grade Sunday School class here at Cross of Christ.  In addition to her patience and vast experience in working with little ones, Kathleen enjoys sewing, reading and swimming.  Her above average abilities with crafts and teaching them are a true advantage for all preschool children in her room.
